"Where I Am" by Jen Haugland debuted this week on the "What's on my iPod' show and will be featured all week on the show at 5 PM ET (2 PM PT). This live acoustic version shot at Watershed Recording, in Nashville, TN is simplicity at its best with a lovely vocal backed by pro musicians. The video also features Dave Cleveland on guitar and Mark Burchfield on Acoustic Bass (who doesn't love an acoustic bass!).

Today's Video Share: Murder He Wrote by Melanie Dewey

Posted on September 16, 2014 at 11:25 AM Comments comments (2)

Murder He Wrote is an upbeat, toe-tapping song with wickedly-compelling lyrics. Melanie Dewey creates a story arc with her lyrics and video that sucks you in and keeps you glued to the screen until the end. I won't give it away, but there's a bit of irony involved...I think you'll want to add this playful pop song (with a much deeper subtext) to your collection.

The video for "Falling" is a truly classy affair with vintage style and flair. Randi Fay's voice is magnificent and lyrical on this vocal jazz gem. This song is also debuting on WOS this week on our "What's on myiPod" show airing all week at 5 PM ET (2 PM PT). Take 5 minutes and add some sophistication to your afternoon by watching this video.  Support quality Indie Artists.

Today's Video Share: Well-Behaved Women Rarely Make History by Kacey Jones

This song is a hoot - with a catchy tune and lyrics that chronicle some truly memorable and outrageous women. She even gives a timely shout-out to Joan Rivers. The song is on our New Music Show all wek (airs 5 PM ET, 2 PM PT) and enters rotation next week. Enjoy this fun song accompanied by photos of iconic women by Kacey Jones, who is definitely not a well-behaved woman (in a good way of course:)

Today's Video Share: Everything Changed by Jen Coates

Posted on September 9, 2014 at 3:20 PM Comments comments (0)

Jen Coates, lead singing of Martha's Trouble, just released a live accoustic album called Seed Session in August. This song is one of the most beautiful acoustic songs I've heard recently. Jen's voice is so distinct and soothing, immediately endearing listeners to dive into the depths of her lyrics. Pick up a copy of Seed Sessions and listen for several tracks from the EP on WOSRadio, including this one which debutes this week on our "What's on my iPod" show airing weekdays at 5 PM ET (2 PM PT).

As we move from summer into the harvest season, this video captures the enchantment and timelessness of our land. Amidts a field of sunflowers bathed in light, and backed by the talented Tom Stinson, Leah sings this acoustic Americana/Folk tune sweetly and intimately.  If you need a "Zen" moment in your day...watch this video.

Today's Video Share: Story Tellin' Blues by Jess Goggans Band

Posted on August 28, 2014 at 1:30 PM Comments comments (0)

Think Susan Tedeschi meets a mature Janis Joplin. Jess Goggans is new to WOSRadio and we're so glad we discovered her music. Her powerhouse vocals are gritty and emotionally-charged (and I hear she's an artist in the kitchen as well) and her band plays a mean blues groove. Tune in to hear  "Story Tellin' Blues" on the "What's on my iPod" Show this week at 5 PM ET, 2 PM PT.  Support quality Indie artists.

Today's Video Share: I Don't Know What 2 Say by Stacey Israel

It is nearly impossible to "sit still" (that is if you even try to sit still) while under the influence of the cool vibe of this R&B song by Stacey Israel (I admit to involuntary hip-shaking and head-bobbing in front of the computer).   This tight video depicts a strong woman who doesn't allow her love for a man to cloud her judgement.  Support quality Indie Artists!
